This is a super simple way to prepare chicken… I like to make a big batch of shredded chicken, add about 1/2 cup to little containers and store them in the freezer for quick meals.
What you will need:
4-6 chicken breasts (depending on the size), 1 bottle of salsa verde (I use Herdez brand), garlic (about 3-4 cloves)…
Throw it all in your crockpot and cook 4 hours if chicken isn’t frozen or 6-8 hours if it is.
When chicken is cooked take out of pot, shred, then put back in the crockpot for another 30 minutes.
I store approximately 1/2 cup of shredded chicken in each container.
Serve with white corn tortillas and whatever you want to top it with cheese, avocado, salsa, lettuce, sour cream, the possibilities are endless.
